How to Change the Password of the Recorder
Please avoid using simple passwords like "admin" or "1234"; these common patterns are the first things hackers test, and using them leaves your personal data and account access vulnerable to instant automated theft.
Before you begin, please make sure to have the model number of your recorder. If not, check Quick Guide: Where to get the model number of a Swann product first to get the model number.
You also need a monitor and a mouse connected to the recorder to navigate through the menu.

- Access the User Settings: First, open the main menu and go to System > Users.
- Select the Account to Edit: Find the account you’d like to update and click the Edit icon next to it.
- Enter the New Password: In the password fields, enter your desired new password. Then, click OK to proceed.
- Confirm with the Current Password: A prompt will ask you to enter your current password. Once entered, click OK to confirm and save the changes.
