The narrow Vertical Field of View is the nature of the Contera panoramic camera as it provides the consumer with the densest pixel settings.

We use 4x 5MP(4:3) sensors to make a 180-degree Horizontal Field of View, we will need around a 45-degree Horizontal Field of View for each sensor. This is why we will end up with a 30-degree Vertical Field of View.

{Competitor Model Example} 86-degree vertical FOV <- This camera uses 4x 1080p sensors to make a 180-degree H-FOV and it does a 9:16 ratio. So, it can get wider V-FOV.

{Competitor Model Example}  106 Degree vertical FOV <- This is a fisheye camera.

{Competitor Model Example} full 180 degrees <- This is a fisheye camera.

The specifications of the Contera Panoramic cameras were done specifically so we could have a better pixel density than the competition.
