The VORTEX Portal provides a structured hierarchy of user roles to ensure smooth management while maintaining high security. This article will guide you through understanding and setting up the four roles: Owner, Admin, Supervisor, and Viewer.
Who Sees What

Owner: This role has full access to all settings, including all organization and user creation, management, and overall system configuration.

Admin: While this role also has full access to settings, user management, and system configuration, but it cannot delete an entire organization.

Supervisor: This role has limited access to device configuration, as set by higher roles. It does not have control over groups or users.

Viewer: True to its name, this role can only view devices that have been granted access by higher roles, such as the Admin and Owner.

How to set up privileges for a user
Step 1: Go to the Users page.

Step 2: Click on a user's name or profile to enter their detail page.

Step 3: Locate and click the "Access settings" button on the top-right.

Step 4: Assign the appropriate device groups for permission.

Step 5: Once you've made the necessary changes, click "Save" to finalize the settings.
