Before Setting

To back up video recordings in your SD card to VORTEX cloud, your VORTEX camera needs to have a Cloud Storage License.

A "30-Day Cloud Storage 1-Year/Cam" license means the cloud storage space can keep the last 30-day recordings, while a "60-Day Cloud Storage 1-Year/Cam" license means the cloud storage space can keep the last 60-day recordings. Currently there are five recycling recording options: 30-day, 60-day, 90-day, 120-day, 180-day and 365-day.

You can check whether your camera is allocated with a Cloud Storage License in VORTEX User Portal Devices > System > Device information: Cloud storage

When you see 30, 60, 90, 120, 180 or 365 days in "Cloud storage" row, it means your camera is with a Cloud Storage License.

Setting

By default, Cloud backup is disabled, so you have to enable the Cloud backup feature manually. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. In the VORTEX Portal, access the device's general settings by clicking on the 'gear' icon.

2. Enable the Cloud backup function by sliding the toggle button to the 'on' position.

3. Once enabled, videos will be stored in cloud storage according to the configured schedule.

4. Select your preferred backup times by using the mouse to drag across the screen.

5. Click 'Save' to confirm your settings.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Cloud backup is available only for VORTEX cameras equipped with Cloud Storage Licenses.
