How To Disable the Password Prompt in the Main Menu

When you try to access the recorder's Search or Setup Main Menu, you will always be asked to login with the username and password by default. This is to prevent anyone to gain access on your recorder.

If you are the only person to access your recorder, you can safely disable the Menu Timeout option to avoid being asked for the password.

Turn OFF Menu Timeouts

1. Using the mouse connected to your recorder, right-click and choose the first icon at the bottom left then select Setup
2. If it asks you to login, enter the username and password of your recorder.
3. Once logged in, go to Main Menu > System > General
4. Click the dropdown of Menu Timeouts and select OFF
5. Click on Apply to save.

You will be able to access Search or Main Menu without having to enter a password.

If you want to temporarily lock your recorder, right-click and choose the first icon at the bottom left then choose Lock Screen

Disable Auto Reboot

By default, the recorder is set to reboot every Sunday. If you have turned OFF Menu Timeouts, but find yourself entering the password once a week, that is because it has rebooted and locked itself again.

To disable auto-reboot, go to Main Menu > Advanced > Maintain and uncheck Auto Reboot then click Apply to save the settings
