How to Check the Battery Level of Your Stand-alone Battery-powered Camera

Battery-operated cameras feature built-in LED indicators and app-based monitoring to help you keep track of their battery status. A blinking purple LED means the device needs charging. For more precise information, you can check the exact battery level anytime through the app

There are 2 ways:

Check the LED status

If the this is the status of your LED, then it needs to be charged.

• Dim than normal (for sensors)
• Blinking purple (for SWIFI cameras)
  

Open Swann Security app

Choose Your Phone Type

Go to Devices (bottom-right) then choose your device. It will show you its current battery level.

The Device Status need to be Connected otherwise, what you will see is its last reported battery level. Either it is already empty or the device is disconnected.

The Online field needs to show Yes otherwise, what you will see is its last reported battery level. Either it is already empty or the device is disconnected.

NOTE: If the Device Status is Disconnected, the battery level shown is the last that was synced to the Swann Security server and your phone before the camera disconnected. This means the current battery level cannot be seen until the camera is recharged and reconnected to the network. 

WARNING! To keep your camera performing at its best, avoid letting the battery drain to 0%. Fully depleting the battery can reduce its overall lifespan and may even prevent it from recharging properly over time.
