The Swann Security app Single View Mode lets you monitor one camera at a time with easy access to key controls. Understanding what each icon does helps you quickly manage your camera’s features, whether you're checking live footage, talking through your camera, or activating security functions.

Open Swann Security app then tap a camera to enter Single View Mode

What Do the Icons Mean in Swann Security Single View Mode?

 Voice Prompt / Replies (Doorbells Only)

Short answer: Plays pre-recorded voice messages through your doorbell.

Tap this icon to choose from a list of voice prompts that visitors will hear. Useful for quick responses when you can't speak directly.

 Pan & Tilt (Supported Cameras Only)

Short answer: Lets you control the camera’s direction.

This opens a control panel so you can move the camera view left, right, up, or down; ideal for covering more area in real time.

 Alarm (Siren)

Short answer: Turns the camera’s built-in siren on or off.

Use this feature to deter unwanted visitors instantly. The icon appears only on cameras with a siren.

 Light (Floodlight/Spotlight)

Short answer: Controls the camera’s built-in light.

Activate or deactivate the light to improve visibility or scare off intruders. Available only on supported models.

 Enforcer (Red & Blue Lights)

Short answer: Toggles flashing red and blue security lights.

Designed for active deterrence, this feature mimics emergency lighting and is available on select cameras.

 Mic (2-Way Talk)

Short answer: Enables two-way audio communication.

Tap to activate, then press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button to speak. Release to listen; great for interacting with visitors.

 Snapshot / Screenshot

Short answer: Captures a still image from live video.

Snapshots are saved directly to your phone’s gallery, making it easy to review or share important moments.

 Record

Short answer: Starts or stops manual video recording.

Tap to begin recording live footage, and tap again to stop. Recordings are saved in the app (location varies by model).

  • EVO cameras require a subscription
  • EliteX™ recorders do not support this feature
 Speaker / Sound

Short answer: Mutes or unmutes audio from the camera.

Toggle this to hear or silence live sound picked up by the camera’s microphone.

 Player Settings

Short answer: Adjusts video quality and display preferences.

  • Quality: Switch between higher clarity or smoother streaming depending on your internet speed. (Not available in SWIFI-2KICAM and SWIFI-4KFLOCAM)
  • Aspect Ratio: Choose between formats like 16:9 (widescreen) or 4:3.
  • Lens Correction: Stretches the video, following the aspect ratio, to remove the fish-eye effect

Some models may not support these options, and none of these affects recording quality.

 Device Settings

Short answer: Opens the device’s full settings menu.

Use this to customize advanced features, settings, and device preferences.
