DR Series: Configuring an alarm input to trigger an alarm output

- Take the wires from the camera and wire it to AI1 and G on the back of the NVR.
- Take the NO and C and wire it to a voltmeter.
- Log in to the NVR and go to Setup > Device > Schedule.
- Click the Channels column and verify 'NVR AO1' is checked.
- Uncheck 'Beep'. Click OK then Apply.
- Click Event > Additional Event > Alarm In > check mark NVR AI1 and set the type to 'NO'.
- Click the Actions column, click Alarm Out > check mark NVR AO 1 > OK > OK > Apply > OK.
- Turn on the voltmeter and set it to continuity mode.
- Trigger the alarm output from the camera.
- If you hear a tone from the multimeter, it is properly wired and configured.
- Take the wires off the multimeter and wire it into whatever you are working on.
