ConteraVMS: Adding Dahua cameras

Issue:

The customer/integrator is having trouble adding Dahua cameras to Contera.

Resolution:

From the Dahua camera webpage:

1. Click Setting > Camera > Video.
   • Under Main Stream, set Encode Mode to H.264.
   • Under Sub Stream1, set Encode Mode to H.264.
   • Click Save.
2. Click Setting > System > Account > ONVIF User.
   • Click Add User and fill in the information

From the Contera NVR:

1. Click Setup > Camera > Add cameras.
2. Once the auto discover locates the cameras, authenticate using the information from Step 2.

For Dahua multi-sensor cameras, they may need to be added using RTSP instead.

1. Click Setup > Camera > Add cameras > Manually add a camera.
2. Next to Protocol select RTSP.
3. The Dahua RTSP syntax and an example are below:
   
   rtsp:// [USER] : [PASS] @ [ADDRESS] : [RTSP PORT] /cam/realmonitor?channel= [CH] &subtype=[STREAM TYPE]
   
   Dahua Main Stream: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.100:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
   
   Dahua Sub Stream: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.100:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1
