DMZ

A Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) is a network segment located between the internal and external network. Usually, the external network is on the internet.

In a DMZ, a computer or small network acts as a neutral zone between the normal network and the public network (internet). The purpose of a DMZ is to secure the ordinary network and not allow outsiders (such as hackers) to access the ordinary network.

In short, it is a buffer zone that enforces strict access rules, thus improving the security of your network.

What should you pay attention to when offering a Router?

We are still talking about SOHO products here, These can be used up to 192 users, however, the maximum recommended users is 60, which is quite a difference.

Think of it as maximum number of active users and the other devices as dormant.

There are devices like printers and IoT products which are not constantly active and have low data usage you can count outside those 60 users.

Overall the best router with the nicest design in my opinion is the RG-M32.

The RG-EW300N can be fine for service purposes or at grandma's house.
