Short tips for Huawei devices

To ensure Alfred runs without interruption, please apply the following settings on your Huawei devices:

• Set Alfred as protected app (Android 5 only)
• Turn off Battery Optimization (Android 8+)
• Enable Alfred to launch in the background (Android 9+) 
• Allow Alfred to display on top of other apps (Android 10 only)

Set Alfred as protected app (Android 5 only)

1. Open “Settings” on the phone 
2. Tap “All”
   
   
   
3. Tap “Power saving”
   
   
   
4. Tap “Protected apps”
   
   
   
5. Set Alfred Camera as “Protected”
   

Turn off Battery Optimization (Android 8+)

1. Open Settings on your Camera phone
2. Tap App & notifications
   
   
3. Tap Apps
   
4. Tap Settings in the below
   
5. Tap Special access
   
6. Tap Ignore battery optimization
   
   
7. Switch to All apps from the drop-down list
   
8. Tap Alfred Camera
   
   
9. Tap Allow and save the setting
   

Enable Alfred to launch in the background (Android 9+)

1. Open “Settings” on the phone 
2. Tap “Battery”
   
   
   
3. Tap “Launch”
   
   
   
4. Toggle on “Manage manually” switch for Alfred Camera
   
   
   
5. Enable “Auto-Launch”, “Secondary launch”, and “Run in background” 
   
   

Allow Alfred to display on top of other apps (Android 10 only)

1. Open “Settings” on the phone 
2. Tap “Apps & notifications”
   
   
   
3. Tap “Apps”
   
   
   
4. Tap “Alfred Camera”
   
   
   
5. Tap “Draw over other apps”
   
   
   
6. Allow Alfred to draw over other apps
   

Note: The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, Mate 40 series, Mate 30 series, Mate Xs, and Honor 30 series don't have Google service. Due to this limit, you might not receive notifications from AlfredCamera app if you are using those devices.
