Pink Sensors on WDR cameras

Symptoms

If the camera is located outside and shows an image with an unnatural bright pink color that goes away for a time if the camera is power cycled. Then if over the course of a day the issue returns you likely are looking at a white balance issue that can occur with our WDR cameras having older firmware in certain lighting conditions.

Resolution

If the camera is a Single sensor G1 or G2 update firmware to ver. 65249 

If the camera is a Multi-Sensor G2, G3, or G5 Surround or Omni update firmware to ver. 65212

Cause

This issue is a result of a white balance issue that existed in older WDR cameras that could be triggered by changing outdoor lighting and the position of the sun in the image.
