Connection Tips for Android Devices

To ensure smooth operation of Alfred, a stable Internet connection is essential. If you encounter any connection issues or receive "camera offline" notifications, we have compiled specific tips tailored for Android devices below. In this article, you will discover effective measures to prevent your Android Camera devices from going offline: 

• Disable Battery Optimization（Android 8+ only）
• Adjust system Screen Lock settings
• Grant Alfred permission to display over other apps (Android 10+ only)
• Advanced settings for Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, ASUS, and Infinix

Disable Battery Optimization (Android 8+ only）

🔋 Below are general quick setup steps to turn off the Battery Optimization:

⚠️ Note: Different Android devices may have different setting steps to turn off the Battery Optimization. Please click here if your devices are Asus, Huawei, LG, Pixel, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi.

1. Swipe up and find the Alfred app in the app switcher
   
   
2. Tap App info
   
3. Tap Battery
   
   
4. Choose Unrestricted
   
   

Adjust system Screen Lock settings

1. Open Settings on your Camera phone
2. Tap Security
   
   
3. Tap Screen Lock
   
   
4. Set Lock after screen timeout to the longest duration
   
   
5. Disable Power button instantly locks
   

Grant Alfred permission to display over other apps (Android 10+)

1. Open Settings on your Camera phone
2. Tap Apps
   
   
   
3. Tap AlfredCamera
   
   
4. Tap Display over other apps
   
   
   
5. Switch on the Allow display over other apps toggle
