To install the plug in needed to be able to remote view your cameras from your MacBook, you will need to follow the steps below. First off, before you can remote view your security cameras on your computer, from an external source, you are going to need to port forward your router. If this has not been done yet, you will need to do this before continuing. We have another guide in place to assist you in that process.
- First step is to log onto your computer and launch Safari.
- Follow the link here: https://app.box.com/s/axy1s6shzta2kkn4l411zttis7x57snv and install and run this plug in. It will take you through a list of steps to install the software.
- Once downloaded, follow the installation and install the program. This will give you the ability to view the cameras on your MacBook. To test this, open the Safari browser again and type in the IP address of your recorder. It should prompt you with the log in screen to your recorder.
- Go ahead and log in and you will see your cameras live view.
You have now installed the plug in needed to be able to view your security cameras on your MacBook. If for some reason it still asks you to install a plugin, you need to try and reinstall the plug in we tried to install in step 2.
